See you there?

This year marks our fourth time at Missionfest Manitoba, and it still feels just as exciting as that first year when we set up our little booth, unsure of who would stop by or what conversations would come from it. Looking back, Missionfest has been such a blessing to Selah Place—not just in spreading the word about what we do but in shaping our ministry in ways we never expected.

In our early days, when Selah was starting to take root, Missionfest was where we connected with people who truly cared about the crisis of unsupported mothers. Some of those conversations turned into long-term relationships, volunteer commitments, and even staff who now walk alongside the moms at Selah every day. It’s amazing how God uses moments like these to bring the right people at the right time.

If you’ve never been to Missionfest, my best summary would be hundreds of ministries sharing and some great speakers as keynotes. Booths filled with ministries doing incredible work locally and globally, people stopping to chat, to pray, to ask how they can help—it’s a reminder that we’re not doing this work alone. There’s something powerful about being surrounded by others who are passionate about serving, each in their own unique way.

We get to hear from people who have a heart for moms and babies, who maybe have their own story of struggle and redemption, or who feel called to support in ways they never thought possible.

So, if you’ve ever been curious about Missionfest, we’d love to see you there. Stop by our booth, say hello, and hear more about what God is doing at Selah. Whether you’re just learning about us, looking for ways to get involved, or simply want to be encouraged by what God is doing in ministries across Manitoba, there’s a place for you.
