A Titus 2 Calling
As mothers, we are responsible for raising the next generation to know and love the Lord. The call to be a Titus 2 woman is about guiding our children and mentoring young women within our church and beyond, especially those struggling, including single mothers and those in need.
Paul’s words to Titus remind us of the importance of living out our faith in a way others can see and follow. Our actions—handling challenges, nurturing our families, and serving others—speak louder than words. By reflecting Christ in our daily lives, we offer a real example of His love and grace to those watching, both inside and outside the church.
Mentoring within the church is about building relationships with younger women, sharing the wisdom from walking with the Lord, and seeking out role models from the elderly in our community. It’s about being there to support, encourage, and guide them as they navigate the challenges of life, particularly those who may be facing difficulties alone. By pouring into them, we not only strengthen their faith but also help them become strong, godly women who can, in turn, support others—their own families, their children, and, if they’re single mothers, perhaps one day be godly wives.
But our mentorship shouldn’t stop at the church doors. Jesus calls us to be “fishers of men,” reaching out to young women in our communities who may not yet know Him. These small acts of kindness can significantly impact lives, whether inviting a neighbour for coffee, volunteering with a local group, or simply being a friend to someone in need. By sharing Christ’s love through our words and actions, we can help others see His light and be drawn to Him.
Being a Titus 2 woman is more than just fulfilling a role; it’s about being part of God’s plan to raise the next generation of believers. By mentoring young women, we help shape their faith, equip them to stand firm in the Lord and ensure that His love and truth are passed down to future generations.
I want to challenge you today to embrace this calling with joy, compassion, and a heart for those in need—first within your church community and then beyond—knowing that through our example, we can lead others to Christ and make an eternal impact.
